August is like the Sunday of Summer

Around August 7th or 8th, according to the old calendar, autumn begins, so midsummer is considered over.  2021 is whipping by us at warp speed! Pretty soon fall will be here along with the holidays. Can you believe it? 
​We are finishing up planning 2021 here at Brevard Belly Dance, looking ahead at 2022. 
You might see some changes as we plan our future...awesome things in the works besides your regular Belly Dance Class Schedule.

Brevard Belly Dance Highlights

Demo at Merritt Square Mall
We had so much fun today at the Brevard Belly Dance Demo at Merritt square Mall.  A Special thanks to all of our volunteers, those from the community who came out and our drummers and photographers, Lisa and Anthony Dharma from the Love Hut.

Sha'abi Belly Dance 

We are currently learning about Sha'abi in our August 2021 classes.  Lets learn a little about it: 
Shaabi is a popular genre of party music in Egypt and a developed dance style. In Arabic it means ‘of the people.’ The music is often light-hearted, with lyrics revolving around everyday life. The relaxed, informal feel of shaabi music translates directly into shaabi style of dance.
